WARNING: Wind Turbines Cause Deteriorating Health

Wind Turbine proximity  can rapidly lead to the development of Wind Turbine Syndrome, which in turn will lead to loss of sleep followed by numerous health problems. Research suggests wind Turbine Syndrome can not be cured or prevented by the signing of a Wind Developer Good Neighbor Agreement.

The Town of Cape Vincent  should require industrial wind developers and lease holding land owners to set up a medical insurance fund to protect other community members from future medical expenses as a result of the health problems caused by their turbines.

Cape Vincent is very fortunate that industrial wind power was not pushed through faster than it could have. Three years ago, one wind lease conflicted Cape Vincent public official was bragging that the Acciona Energia project would be "shovel-ready" in the springs. He and his Planning Board was rejecting all concerns and throwing caution to the wind. Several springs have sprung by since then.

And, now we know so much more. For one, we have learned that wind developers, using the same techniques of the tobacco companies, pussyfoot around the whole wind turbine health impact issue. I was once told by a wind company employee while he was dining with his boss, "We crushed Dr. Nina Pierpont" (The wind syndrome researcher.) in Australia. 

But now the Town of Cape Vincent has so much more actual experience to rely on.

In Wisconsin, the Brown County Human Services Committee is asking their state to pay  emergency relief to neighbors of the Shirley industrial wind complex. With backing by Brown County Supervisors, the committee claims that the State of Wisconsin, in the from of emergency assistance,  should pay the medical bills of the residents who were made ill by their proximity to wind turbines.
