The true NIMBYs of the world are those who want to make the world green — so long as it’s not them who have to suffer for it.

Green power has come to mean generating electricity by burning taxpayer dollars.

Don't cry for me, Iberdrola....

Iberdrola is all dressed to the nines, with sixes
and sevens for you....

The following paragraph is from a Dow Jones report that I read at the Concerned Residents of Hammond website. Iberdrola is pleading to the feds for an extension of the massive corporate welfare money that will be used by them to crap up the Town of Hammond, NY and one of the most beautiful sections of the St. Lawrence River. At night, Iberdola's Hammond project will turn the northeastern view of the St. Lawrence from Alexandria Bay, NY into a red light nightmare.

WASHINGTON – An arm of Spain's Iberdrola SA (IBDRY, IBE.MC) has suspended planning for new wind farms in the U.S., an executive said Wednesday, anticipating that Congress may not extend a popular tax credit for the industry. Rich Glick, vice president of government affairs for Iberdrola Renewables, also predicted Wednesday that there would be "close to zero" megawatts of wind power built in the U.S. in 2013 if the credit isn't extended soon. "This is a really urgent situation," he told congressional staffers at a briefing here. The statement came as lawmakers consider whether to extend the credit in coming weeks as part of a broader legislative deal to give payroll tax breaks to U.S. workers. If the wind provision isn't included in that bill, which is expected to be voted on next month, it might not be considered again until after the November elections, when Congress is next expected to take up tax issues.

I read in an email from a JLL reader:

"Wind developers must miss the old days when they had everybody fooled."

Would someone Help Florida friends out and tell us what happened with the Bill Owens staff visit?

Coming into town. Operating in secret. Encouraging conflicts of interest and unethical government. Sowing seeds of greed. Lying about health effects. Hiring a community organizer to take over town. Denying any economic impacts. All for foreign corporations using federal, state and local subsidy. Tim Conboy and Bryan Stumpf politically attacking our town supervisor? I agree, those are not respectable jobs that should be encouraged by given the rat-bastards more.

Bill Owens staff visit was not very well publicized. I'm not sure how many attended in Cape, but Lyme had around a dozen. I asked that Owens vote no on any more tax subsidies for turbines. According to the staffer he was rethinking those subsidies. However the next day I received an email stating he was still in favor of extending them. I think he needs to hear from us in the voting booth.

These RB's as you call them are from out of town.
All around the area north of Albany. Cept the Stumpf man who is their token local boy who doesn't even live here anymore. But Wiley-King told him it was OK to come back and have a "voice" in screwing up our town.
Oh the Gross one is from Texas.

You know I was one of those people that changed my voting rights and voted out mason mason. Now with that over you people act and sound like the people I help vote out. You swear and tell stories about them. I see who you really are and the next time you ask me to change my vote, kiss my ass. I'll be working to tell my neighbors who you really are a bunch of rat-bastards like those voted out. Oh! by the I lost my credit on my taxes thanks to you.

9;27 Care to clarify this comment a litle with some specifics?

"Oh! by the I lost my credit on my taxes thanks to you."

You are stuffed full of shit like a Thanksgiving turkey.
To get your tax exemption all you have to do is re-apply at your new New York State residence in Cape Vincent. Or, if you want it at your other home then re-register to vote at your other home before the end of Feb.

The Wiley-King voter intimidation scheme didn't work and they lost. Political morons like the Wiley-Kingsters should not be taking others for fools.

Gary King and Harold Wiley did their best to start a war of prejudice, intimation and disenfranchisement against the voters of Cape Vincent.

But they fell flat on their face. They embarrassed all good Democrats and falsely represented good Conservatives.

They misrepresented themselves to the NY Conservative party in getting the endorsement for their unethical conflict of interest candidates.

ZERO WATTS cost billions. We can't afford that as it is. How are we going to pay for it when they actually produce something? Or not. I remember an old quote from a conversation Gorbicev had with Reagan. "You got the American people to do voluntarily what the Russian Military couldn't get our own people to do by force". Voluntary servitude. " Are you a good communist , boy?. YESSIR ! Well then get in there and kill something".

"I have been taken as a fool by men much smarter than you." She was a pickpocket, yes, but a damned good looking pickpocket. They don't even dress this pig up. "We don't have a town dump." "That's OK, we don't need one." BP says they'll give us a filling station and a brand new public restroom for all full service customers. OK, throw in a convenience store stocked with all sorts of snacks for the kids? Soda too. Royal Crown?

9:27,
I belive in the Tooth Fairy more than you. You are full of BS. You didn't chanege your voter registration. You are a green shirt wind thug leaseholder trying to float a bogus issue.

You didn't lose any credit on your taxes because of where you voted. Go back in your hole.

Hey, are you to tell me we got a bunch of greezy Spaniards running around trying to steal our women? "No, they just want your wind, man" Wind? What the hell they gonna do with my wind? It don't hurt nobody. It don't blow the same way for more than ten minutes. My wife says you can't get more than ten minutes out of anything in this town. "Yeah, either way they won't get much around here."

I'm already emailing my neighbors that change there votes. It won't happen again.

Needless to say 9:27 was written by a wind bag disguised as a converted voter. Good try but a little too much of an amature act to fool anyone who can write a proper sentence amd spell.

There is a big difference between you and the people who changed their registration to Cape Vincent. They understand the voting laws and Wiley-King didn't. Their solution was voter intimidation and passing an illegal law. And they lied to many who signed their petition.
Throw in a little Jr. High tattle tale to assessors in other towns. Theirs was a dumb ass move to protect a corrupt government.

What is respectable being a community organizer hired by Acciona and Bp and being paid to tell lies about what will happen to your community?

WE have put up with the Wiley-King wind thugs for far to long.

Huh? What changed? The same scumbags who got the town into this mess are still scumbags. Maybe you changed your vote because you had a brief clarity of mind. One way or the other, in the long run you'll get squat for your land and your leases.ACCIONA and BP will get what thyey wanted. Subsidies. When tnt's gone, they'll be gone. leaving the rest of us to hold the bag. Empty bag. have a cow why don't you? You'll be better off in the long run.

If you are a customer of the Cape clinic you might not be happy with who is volunteering to help organize the personal medical records. Speaking of Wiley and King dirty tricks.
