The true NIMBYs of the world are those who want to make the world green — so long as it’s not them who have to suffer for it.

Green power has come to mean generating electricity by burning taxpayer dollars.

Our Congressman is ignoring us!

“CONGRESSMAN, IT’S TIME”

Doheny again urges Democratic opponent to drop support for troubled anti-piracy bill in light of defections

WATERTOWN – Matt Doheny, a Republican candidate for Congress, today applauded House and Senate leaders for saying they will not move on the Stop Online Piracy Act or its companion, the Protect IP Act, in light of the overwhelmingly negative feedback they received from Internet users across America.

“I am proud of average Americans who took the time this week to contact their member of Congress. Most of them echoed what I’ve been saying for weeks: The bill’s intent to curb overseas piracy is admirable, but it’s approach would have serious negative consequences to the business and tech communities as well as the average Web user,” said Doheny.

“I’ve called on my opponent to drop his support for this bill, but he ignored me,” continued Doheny. “He then turned a deaf ear to President Obama, and then, shockingly, to his own constituents. Now Democrat Harry Reid and Republican Lamar Smith are dropping the bill. Soon Bill Owens is going to be the only one left defending this bad bill. Congressman, it’s time. Listen to all of us who are telling you: This bill is no good. It’s time to drop your support for the Stop Online Piracy Act.”
