| Four members of the Cape Vincent Town Board have listened to the majority of the citizens and favor a wind development moratorium |
On February 7, 7:00 PM at the Cape Vincent Recreation Park on James Street, the Town of Cape Vincent will hold a special meeting for the purpose of hearing comments on a proposed seven month moratorium on industrial wind development in the town.
The seven month moratorium has been deemed necessary to give a zoning committee and a comprehensive plan committee time to review and revise the Town's Comprehensive Plan and the Zoning Ordinance.

"Another instance is a delay of legal obligations or payment. A legal official can order a delay of payment due to extenuating circumstances, which render one party incapable of paying another." Yeah, I like that version. Suspend payments until a final solution is achieved. Don't forget that all expenses the developers incur have to be repaid from revenues, or directly from taxpayers if the projects fails to produce. All parties with leases are obligated to do whatever the companies want then to to to advance their project and if the fail to do so they are in violation of the terms. These developers have protected themselves very well, and have invested no money of their own in the process. How many Americans get that kind of deal? Which raises the question, are politicians even American? Not from my viewpoint.
It's going to take you seven months to get rid of these wind mills and fight the NY State Governor. Be sure to cross your tees and dot your I's. Get it right the first time with out any legal action.
What does Cuomo care? He got all he's going to get from that industry. If he wants to tet re-elected he'll have to change his position soon. Not likely they'll fund his campaign again. Look for the new scandal for that one.
The good old governor isn't up for reelection for some time. That wind money is easy for the pickers. He'll certainly have his hands in it soon.
