Since it is an election year, it is no wonder that President Obama's State of the Union was more of a "State of My Campaign".
During his presentation, Mr. Obama called for a comprehensive energy strategy that's "cleaner, cheaper and full of new jobs,". He pointed out that we have a supply of natural gas that could last the nation nearly 100 years and could create 600,000 jobs by the end of the decade.
Then, he added, "I will not walk away from the promise of clean energy," he said. "I will not cede the wind or solar or battery industry to China or Germany because we refuse to make the same commitment here."

Good morning JLL..
Sounded to me like he was talking about the manufacturing aspect of renewables. I did not hear any big cry for destroying population centers by filling them with wind farms.
Natural Gas is king and will come out on top.
AND I WILL NOT VOTE FOR YOU.
YOU HAVE MILLIONS OF $$ FROM DEVELOPERS IN YOU CAMPAIGN ACCOUNT.
YOU WILL NOT GET MY VOTE.
On the other hand, many of my Democratic friends who are getting wind hate Obama. But they will vote for him on that one issue of hope.
Couldn't vote for him for any reason, had to turn off the SOTU speech after the second lie.
I wany my money! I want my money, dammit! And I will vote for anyone who will make it more likely that I will get my money!
And oh yeah - I almost forgot - a man has a right to do what he wants with his own land!
Wind is dead on a national level!
We will never see it in Cape Vincent.
I think wind is pretty much dead in CV too... I wonder if the leaseholders realize it? I also wonder if any of them tried to make a deal with JG Wentworth...
I agree that a man has the right to do whatever he pleases. He also has the right to suffer the consequences. If a man wants to invest his own money in a project, he should receive his share when the project becomes profitable. To receive subsidies without having to produce is called farming. Thanks, but no thanks. Remember all those farms? If you did you'd get the point.
