|Chuck Schumer continues to|
support welfare for a failed
Monday, March 26, 2012
New York State Senators Gillibrand and Schumer are on the side of high gasoline costs and higher electricity rates.
Senators Mark Udall (D-CO), Michael Bennet (D-CO), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Scott Brown (R-MA) and Dean Heller (R-Nevada) have introduced legislation to extend for two years the wind energy Production Tax Credit (PTC).
This is deceptively labeled as "The American Energy and Job Promotion Act" (S.2201):
Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) has filed S.2204 which extends several renewable energy tax breaks including the wind PTC. It also resurrects the 1603 credit for wind energy.
This bill is marketed as paying for itself by eliminating tax benefits available for the oil industry:
New York State Senators Gillibrand and Schumer will likely be "Aye" for both as they further encourage big wind to take over your community and destroy your home value and lifestyle.
The passage of these legislations will ensure that the gasoline companies will have an excuse to further raise the price you pay at the pump and will force the failed technology of wind electricity down our pie holes which result in further increasing rates in your home electricity.
Add insult to injury, the jobs provided by the industrial wind welfare, thus far, have cost the taxpayers 5.25 million per job. And, that includes the jobs of wind industry lobbyist like NY State's very own Carol Murphy whose job it is to remind politicians that if you are good to Momma, Momma will be good to you.
You pay for industrial wind at the federal level.
You pay for industrial wind at the State Level.
You pay for industrial wind by granting PILOTs at the local level.
You pay for industrial wind each time you pay your electric bill.
